After a thorough assessment involving clinical skills, physical exam and possible labs, the following services may be used as part of your treatment plan.
Nutrition and lifestyle modification: Diet, exercise, and general lifestyle are the foundations of health, and can have a profound effect on how you feel. There is no single plan that works best for everyone. I can help you find, implement, and stick to an approach that will have you feeling great.
Botanical Medicine: I am trained in the traditional uses of many plants, as well as the current scientific research on botanical medicine. Treatment with botanicals can include the use of tinctures, teas, capsules or tablets, powders, or topical treatments.
Nutritional Supplementation: I will help clarify whether or not any vitamins, minerals, or other supplements will be helpful for you, how much is safe to take, and how you can find quality product options.
Acupuncture and Asian Medicine: The traditional Asian medical system, views disease as an imbalance or a blockage in the flow of the body’s vital energy. Bringing the body back to health requires restoring the balance, or removing the blockage. Treatment may include diet, acupressure, herbs, massage, or acupuncture.
With acupuncture, very small and thin needles are inserted into specific points in the body. Many people assume that acupuncture must be painful, but this is not true! In fact, the majority of our patients describe the experience as very relaxing and enjoyable.
Homeopathy: Homeopathy is a system of medicine that makes use of dilutions of plant, animal, and mineral substances that stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Remedies are chosen according to your specific set of symptoms, and may be prescribed for either acute or chronic concerns.
Lab testing: Laboratory testing is commonly recommended and will assist me in understanding the underlying causes of your health concerns. During your initial visit we will discuss if further testing is required for you. Different testing available:
Blood Tests – (Price range $20-$100 depending on test ordered) standard blood work to assess iron, glucose, cholesterol, thyroid, hormone levels etc…may be ordered by your ND.
