Why You Might Be Referred to the Nurse Practitioner
At our clinic, we prioritize comprehensive, collaborative care to ensure you have access to the full range of treatment options that best support your health goals.
Your Naturopathic Doctor will determine if a Nurse Practitioner consultation is appropriate and coordinate the referral for you. The NP will review your case, and communicate closely with your ND to ensure continuity of care and a seamless patient experience.
Collaborative care
Our collaborative model allows you to access a wider range of treatment options, including diagnostic testing, and specialized therapies, while maintaining your Naturopathic Doctor as your primary care coordinator. This ensures your care remains personalized, evidence-informed, and fully integrated.
Your Naturopathic Doctor:
- Leads your care plan and determines if NP involvement is needed
- Orders all necessary blood work (additional costs required) for NP assessment
- Provides clinical context and reviews NP recommendations
- Integrates conventional plan with naturopathic approaches including lifestyle medicine, nutrition and supplements
- Offers ongoing monitoring and support
Nurse Practitioner
- Provides treatments outside the ND scope
- Offers guidance and support
- Communicates directly with your ND for fully coordinated care

How this process works:
Our collaborative process is designed to feel easy and well-coordinated. We handle the communication, record sharing, and scheduling between providers so you can focus on your health. Every step is managed by your Naturopathic Doctor to ensure your care remains connected and personalized.
The steps to this care:
- Initial ND Visit – Required for all new patients. Note: blood work may be required and will be ordered by your ND for an additional fee
- Collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner through the release of records and shared information about your health
- Referral Fee – $75 (covers preparation, coordination, and chart sharing required by your Naturopath).
- Nurse Practitioner Appointment Options: This will be decided based on the needs of your care.
– Asynchronous (no live call): $75
– Virtual Live Visit: $115 (for HRT or complex cases)
– Treatment Renewals: $75–$125 - ND Follow-Up – 2–3 weeks after NP visit to integrate results and update your plan.
